Potential Delays due to COVID-19

Dear Valued Partners:

As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we felt it was important to provide you with a further update as we progress into this week.  We want to reassure you that Gambles Group of Companies (GGC) has multiple programs in place to ensure that the food we source from our suppliers to provide our customers is always safe for consumption. 

Despite our food safety efforts, we understand there may be a growing concern regarding COVID-19 and how it could potentially impact our business.  Since the coronavirus disease is now being characterized as a pandemic, there is increasing speculation of further “lockdowns” that may affect several industries and/or sectors.
 

In the event of a “lockdown”, GGC will be prepared to continue to run our business and meet the needs of our customers and suppliers.  We have the ability to allow many of our Sales Reps, Buyers, and Infrastructure teams to work from home and seamlessly conduct our daily functions.  In case of employee absenteeism due to illness, we have developed a contingency plan to receive, pick and deliver orders out of our Distribution Centre, with minimal impact to service.

This being said, we have experienced unprecedented order volumes the past few days that may result in operational delays, both in receiving orders from our suppliers and in shipping orders to our customers. 

We understand the frustration and uncertainty everyone is feeling at this time, and we appreciate the continued support from you, our valued partners.  We ask for your continued resolve and patience through this stressful period as we all adjust to this new reality.
